About Truesec – A Leading Cybersecurity Company
Since 2005, Truesec has been a native cybersecurity company, driven by one single purpose: Creating safety and sustainability in a digital world by preventing cyber breach and minimizing impact.
Over the years, we’ve earned the trust of organizations worldwide and gained a strong reputation internationally. Our team consists of dedicated specialists covering the entire spectrum of cybersecurity – with capabilities in Predict, Prevent, Protect, Respond, and Recover.
Today, we employ around 300 employees – and as cybercrime grows, we need to grow. To support that goal, we are now looking for a Senior Threat Intelligence Expert who wants to team up with our dedicated team of cyber specialists in our Threat Intelligence team.
Threat Intelligence
As a member of the Threat Intelligence team within Truesec CSIRT, you will be part of an expert group supporting both internal and client needs with strategic, tactical, and technical threat intelligence. You’ll work within a robust framework of threat intelligence processes, models, and standards, contributing to the continuous development of our capabilities and services.
Senior experts are expected to lead by example, supporting the development of both themselves and their colleagues, with the ability to work independently and lead small teams as required.
The Role
As a Threat Intelligence Expert at Truesec, you will play a critical role in delivering tailored threat intelligence solutions to our clients. You will provide both technical and strategic intelligence insights based on defined Priority Intelligence Requirements (PIRs), enabling clients to enhance their cyber resilience. Your expertise will guide clients in understanding their specific threat profile and managing risks proactively.
You will work closely with forensic teams to transform findings into actionable threat intelligence, analyze and review publication of Threat Feed events, and drive security research to keep Truesec and our clients informed on sophisticated threat actors. This role demands both high-quality as well as timely intelligence reporting, and proactive collaboration with both clients and internal stakeholders.
What you will do
- Lead and deliver Threat Profile and Intelligence Requirements workshops and reports to clients, offering a comprehensive understanding of their threat profile.
- Create and deliver customized reports based on each client’s Prioritized Intelligence Requirements, covering the full intelligence cycle—collection, analysis, reporting, briefing, and feedback. Provide actionable cybersecurity recommendations and maintain regular communication with both clients and Truesec management.
- Develop technical threat intelligence reports from forensic findings, providing essential background context, key findings, and executive summaries. Implement structured threat intelligence frameworks (e.g., Diamond Model, MITRE ATT&CK, and IOC collection) while ensuring the anonymity of victim identities.
- Review and publish Threat Feed (MISP) events as part of Truesec Threat Sharing, which supports many of our internal and external services. You will also expand sources and automate imports to enrich our Threat Feed or Threat Intelligence Platform.
- Conduct and publish research on high-priority threat actors, sharing insights with Truesec teams, clients, and the wider national and international cybersecurity community.
Your Potential Background
You are a detail-oriented expert with a passion for cybersecurity and a deep understanding of threat intelligence processes. You have the ability to transform complex forensic findings into strategic insights and deliver reports that provide meaningful value to clients. You enjoy working independently but are equally comfortable collaborating with both internal and external stakeholders.
Required Skills:
- MSc in IT, equivalent education or work experience.
- Broad understanding of IT, cybersecurity, networking, forensics, and encryption.
- Specialized knowledge in forensics and threat intelligence.
- 5+ years in cybersecurity, with experience spanning at least two different areas within the field.
- Minimum 2 years in Technical Threat Intelligence or 5 years in computer or network forensics.
- Strong experience in report writing and client briefings.
Due to the sensitivity in our assignments, we require Swedish citizenship, citizenship in an EU country, or a Swedish work permit.
