Today, we employ around 300 employees – and as cybercrime grows, we need to grow. To support that goal, we are now looking for a Senior Backend Engineer who wants to make a difference in our Truesec Engineering Team.

The Role

As a Senior Backend Engineer, you will be integral to the Truesec engineering team, responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining the backend infrastructure of our internal tools and platform. You will create scalable and secure backend solutions that meet performance requirements while collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration with frontend components. Your role involves optimizing performance, documenting technical specifications, and mentoring other team members. 

Your Potential Background

• Experience: Extensive experience in a similar role.

• Technical Skills: Proficient in Python and C#, with strong knowledge of object-oriented programming. Experience with relational (SQL) and NoSQL databases, API development, and backend frameworks such as ASP .Net Core.

• Cloud Proficiency: Familiarity with Azure services, including Azure App Services, Functions, and SQL Database.

• Version Control: Skilled in using Git for version control, including branching and merging.

• Agile Methodologies: Experience working in Agile teams and facilitating agile ceremonies. 

Required Skills:

• Strong understanding of database management, including design and query optimization.
• Experience in designing and securing RESTful APIs, including authentication mechanisms (e.g., JWT, OAuth).
• Proficiency in testing frameworks (e.g., xUnit, Nsubstitute) and debugging tools.
• Ability to create clean, maintainable code while adhering to best practices and coding standards.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on performance optimization and security best practices.

Bonus Skills:

• Experience with API documentation and creating architecture diagrams.
• Knowledge of security principles and practices, including data encryption and protection against common threats.
• Ability to facilitate team meetings and agile ceremonies effectively.
• A proactive attitude towards continuous learning and sharing knowledge with team members.

Due to the sensitivity in our assignments, we require Swedish citizenship, citizenship in an EU country, or a Swedish work permit.
